Welcome
We welcome you to a weekend in Copenhagen filled with learning, fun and our shared love of sports for everyone!
We’re are convinced that we are going to have a blast at the conference – sharing best practices between our clubs and organisations and listening to interesting key-note speeches. We’ll do our very best to make sure everyone returns home feeling empowered and energized ready to continue working towards developing and improving our clubs, our community across Europe and make room for everyone in sport.

Conference – Empowering our Clubs
On Friday, March 2nd, we will organise a conference with the title “Empowering our Clubs”.
Our community is achieving great things, new ways to include more people and new groups in our day-to-day activities, new ways to organize and develop our clubs all over Europe. It is time that we sit down, share ideas and reflect on the work we all do for the betterment of our clubs and members and the community as a whole.

10:30 Workshop in plenum: Volunteering – What motivates the individual to volunteer?

12:45 What are the core tasks of our clubs? Discussion in groups followed by a presentation to all
13:30 Talk/Presentation: Communicating to our members and beyond – 7 easy steps
14:30 Sharing experiences in groups and presenting them to all: How do we practice inclusion in our day-to-day activities?

Thursday 18:00-22:00 – Meet & Greet at The Rainbow Square next to City Hall
We will gather under the beautiful rainbow flag that flies high at The Rainbow Square next to Copenhagen City Hall.
The Square was so named in 2014 and the flag was raised in 2017 to symbolise the diversity and freedom of Copenhagen.
At the corner of the Square, you’ll find Oscar Bar & Cafe. Here you’ll be able to collect your goody bag, your programmes and name badges. The kitchen is open until 21.00 and the bar until 23.00
Friday 17:30-19.30: Reception at Copenhagen City Hall hosted by the Lord Mayor – with traditional city hall pancakes!
The Lord Mayor would like to extend a warm welcome to all participants of the Conference and the EGLSF Annual General Assembly.
Following the speeches, the legendary Copenhagen Pancakes, which are only served at City Hall
Saturday 17:30-18:30: Canal Tours – Special Rainbow Edition
When the first day of the annual general assembly has finished, you’ll have a bit of time to return to your room, get changed and get ready for a magnificent experience of Copenhagen as seen from the canals.
We’ll embark on a boat party, hosted by Chantal Al Arab. She’ll take us on a tour of all the historic sites and venues of importance in Copenhagen and we will wave and cheer at the people walking along the canals. She tends to have her fun with them 😉
Saturday 19:00-22:00: Social Dinner
Once we’ve returned to the solid ground, we’ll walk to Restaurant Riz Raz for the traditional Social Dinner. Riz Raz is buffet restaurant that caters to all the meat lovers, the veggies and the vegans.
Everyone should be able to find something to eat at Riz Raz

Danhostel Copenhagen City is located in the heart of Copenhagen by Langebro and Copenhagen Harbour Baths – a few minutes’ walk from City Hall Square, the Central Station, and all our venues for the weekend. They have a large breakfast area, spacious rooms for everyone.

Not only can they offer low prices on accommodation in exclusive settings at Danhostel Copenhagen City, they also offer a modern design bar- and café, Bar50, where you can enjoy delicious snacks, cold drinks and a hot cup of coffee or chocolate (March can be cold in Copenhagen). In the evenings, the bar is turned into acosy area, where you can enjoy some good music and colourful cocktails
