HOSTING EUROGAMES 2021
Pan Idraet is hosting EuroGames 2021 and it will feature 27+ disciplines in top-notch facilities. We will welcome people from all walks of life and all parts of our community to put sportsmanship and inclusivity front and center in this event.
When Copenhagen and Malmö host EuroGames in 2021 it will be truly extraordinary. Building on the experience and knowledge gained from hosting EuroGames in 2003, World OutGames in 2009 and PanGames in 2014, this will be a cutting-edge event for rainbow athletes and all our straight allies taking part.
Accommodating 5,000+ participants, EuroGames will be the major sporting event of 2021. And we will do nothing short of our best to make it a success. In fact, Copenhagen is renowned worldwide for its capacity to make major sporting events major successes!
Furthermore, as an open-minded and inclusive region, Copenhagen and Malmö are perfect to host a rainbow sporting event. Athletes will be met with open arms by Copenhageners waving rainbow flags from the sidelines of the courts and arenas.
With 27+ disciplines, there will be something for everyone. We will include traditional sports such as volleyball, tennis, basketball, running, and soccer – while also looking at ways to offer newer and emerging disciplines such as dodgeball and e-Sport.
We aim to attract professional and recreational athletes alike to show the diversity of the global rainbow sports community. Besides the regular and recognized sports and tournaments of EuroGames, we also wish to host a selection of popular sporting events for spectators to break a sweat.
We believe EuroGames in Copenhagen and Malmö will serve as mean to reach a higher end: Breaking down barriers for rainbow athletes and fighting discrimination in the athletic community. And we hope you’ll join us on this journey.
These are the 27 sports that we plan to include in EuroGames 2021.
