Pan Idræt's film competition: Pan Life and Love

On 12 February 2022, Pan Idræt will be holding its "Rainbow Sport Film Festival" at Cinemateket, the Danish Film Institute in Copenhagen. The aim of the festival is to create more awareness of Pan Idræt, the LGBT community and what being part of a healthy community means. That is why Pan Idræt is launching a film competition where you have the opportunity to give your bid about what a sports community is.

Show us your life in the sports community you are a part of. What does your sport mean for you and your day-to-day life? What does it mean for your friendships or your life in general?

Show us in a 90 second film or video clip – for example using your mobile phone where you capture that moment where sport, passion and love meet. That could be fun times in the sports hall, it could be normal every day activities. It could be new friendships, a romantic partner or perhaps your sport has given you a whole new view on life. Show us your passion for the sport, passion to get better, passion to be stronger and faster – if that's what doing sport means for you.

Competition rules

The film must be no longer than 90 seconds and can be filmed using a mobile phone.

The film should be your own interpretation and include an LGBTQ+ element. It will be appreciated if the film includes elements of community among young people, women or ethnic minorities, but that is not a requirement.

There is a requirement, however, that all the participants in the film must have given their permission to be shown. The films selected will be shown at the film festival on 12 February 2020 and on Pan Idræt's facebook and instagram pages.

When you are ready, send your file to konkurrence@panidraet.dk.

Include your name, address and telephone number and a few lines about your idea and message in your film.

Judging

A clear story where the joy or love of sport and the sports community can be felt.

The film can be done his one long take, or you can edit it – that is entirely up to your abilities and wishes. Technical quality is not a deciding factor in judging the film. It is the idea that counts.

The films will be judged by sports people, people from Pan Idræt and professionals from the film industry.

Deadline

The deadline for submissions is 10 January 2022.

Prize
