Course – Pan Evening School
Drag School
Do you need to try something new and find your inner diva, troll or drag king? Welcome to Drag School, where drag performer Leo Patra takes you on a journey through drag, character development, movement research and everything it takes to be on stage.
Season: 2026
Period: weeks 39 to 50 (2026), once a week.
Time: Friday 7:00 PM-9:15 PM.
About the course
This is a more alternative drag workshop with room for all genders and sexualities. There is not a narrow focus on creating drag queens, but on all genres of drag and performance art, and it is up to you which direction you want to go. Leo Patra has a bachelor's degree in visual arts, a minor in choreography and many years of experience from the international drag scene in Amsterdam, including from The House of Hopelezz. You work through fixed themes throughout the autumn, from drag history and makeup to movement, costumes and music, and each evening of the course is rounded off with shared karaoke. Along the way, there is the opportunity to perform for a real audience, including at a performance in the Cinemateket in connection with the film festival at the end of January.
Who is the course for?
All genders and sexualities. No experience necessary, just a desire to explore.
