EuroGames Cardiff 2027

July 14-17, 2027

In 2027, Pan Idræt will travel to Cardiff when the EuroGames are held in the UK for the first time ever. The EuroGames are Europe’s largest multi-sport event for LGBT+ athletes and their allies, organised by the EGLSF (European Gay & Lesbian Sport Federation). The Games are hosted by Pride Sports Cymru. Cardiff 2027 will feature a programme of 38 sports and is expected to see over 5,000 athletes from across Europe take part.

We are creating a joint internal team for all Pan Idræt members representing Denmark at the Games, regardless of which sport they compete in. The team will ensure flags and a joint march to the opening ceremony, and provide a direct channel for practical information and support across sports along the way.

Why we are leaving

We are participating in EuroGames Cardiff 2027 to put some of the learning we have learned in previous years to the test as teams travel to compete with other rainbow clubs from across Europe. We are using the Games to exchange experiences with other clubs on how to create diverse, inclusive and attractive sporting communities, and we are traveling to have great experiences together as a club.
