About Pan Badminton
Pan Badminton is part of Pan Idræt Copenhagen and Pan Idræt Frederiksberg, two clubs whose target group consists mainly of homosexuals and bisexuals (LGBT+) in all age groups. Since we started in 1998 we have grown to be more than 100 members.
Training times and fees
Pan Badminton has various different training sessions at various locations. You are welcome to join in as often as you wish. There are no fixed partners, so everyone is welcome to play with anyone else, and we are good at making sure everyone gets to play. You can play doubles, singles or mixed doubles.
If you are interested in joining one of our teams, we take part in several competitions at different levels.
Everyone is welcome
There is just as much diversity of skill as of age – just as the two do not necessarily correspond. We have members who have played for years as well as members who only recently traded in their garden play set. We believe that it is very important to have a broad range of playing abilities in the club so you’ll always be able to find someone who can play at your level. If you want to hear more about Pan Badminton, or want to come and try us out, then write to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The social side of our club is also very important for us. If you recently moved to Copenhagen, or are new in the local gay and lesbian (LGBT+) community, then we offer a great opportunity to make new friends and be part of our community.
A different way to meet people
Playing badminton with us is a good way to meet other gay men and lesbians. We have a good social network and sense of fellowship. Since 2013 we have held annual Halloween tournaments, and every spring we hold our club championship – with an afterparty of course.
In August 2015, 40 of us went to the EuroGames in Stockholm. In May 2016 we went to the largest international tournament in Europe, in Berlin, and in July we went to the EuroGames in Helsinki. During Copenhagen Pride week in August we were hosting the Copenhagen Cup with players from 8 different countries.

Teams and competitions 2018/19
In the 2018/19 season Pan Badminton has two teams in Copenhagen League tournaments – one mixed team in Series 2 and one in series 30.
Our teams are very close-knit, and we have a reputation for fightning all the way to the final point when we play.
Most important for us when we play is having fun and when we are all in top shape then the other clubs in Copenhagen should watch out!
New players are always welcome, so if you think you might have a badminton career ahead of you or have been having a break then take a look at our training times, dust off your racquet and come along and play. Of course, you’re also welcome even if you’ve never played before.
