About Pan Badminton
Pan Badminton is a sports section in Pan Idræt Copenhagen and Pan Idræt Frederiksberg. It welcomes LGBT+ people and their friends of all ages, and since we started in 1998 the section has now grown to have approx. 100 members.
Pan Badminton has training sessions in various places in Copenhagen and in Frederiksberg. We do not have a regular playing partners, so those who come to training will all get to play, as we tend to be really good at getting everyone involved. It is possible to play doubles, mixed doubles and singles. We offer training with one of our great trainers at many of our sessions.
Anyone can join
In terms of ability, there is as much spread as there is in terms of age - but the two things are not necessarily related. We have players who have been playing badminton for many years and players who have only recently replaced the garden badminton racket with the real thing. It is important for us to have a broad range of abilities in the club, so you will always be able to find someone to play with at a level that matches yours. If you would like to hear more about Pan Badminton or would like to come and try us out, please send an email to email@example.com.
The social aspect is an important part of our club. If you are a newcomer, new to the LGBT + community or want to meet new people, we offer great opportunities to make friends with the sport as a focal point and to be part of a community.
A different way to meet
Playing badminton in Pan Badminton is also a great way to meet LGBT + people. We have a good social network and unity in the club. We have held a fun and different autumn tournament ever since 2013, and every spring we hold a club championship with a party afterwards. Everyone can participate in both tournaments. Many of us also go abroad to play in "gay and lesbiantournaments".
In August 2015, 40 players from theourclub went to the Eurogames in Stockholm. In May 2016 we were in Berlin for the biggest international tournament in Europe, and in the summer of 2016 we went to the EuroGames again - this time in Helsinki. In Copenhagen Pride Week in August 2016, we even hosted the Copenhagen Cup with 50 players from 8 countries in addition to all our own players. In August 2018, we again hosted the Copenhagen Cup with 132 participants from many different countries.
Do you want to come by for a free trial session?
You are always welcome to drop by for a trial session. If you do not have your own racket, you can of course borrow one of ours on the day, as well as shuttlecocks. Of course, it's completely free of charge to come by and try the sport. We are happy to help you get started and find some players who match you - regardless of level.
Fill out the contact form below and we will get back to you and coordinate what works best. See you on the badminton court 🙂

Teams and team tournament 2018/19
In the 2018/19 season, Pan Badminton will field two teams in the team tournament in Copenhagen. We have two mixed teams - one in series 2 and one in series 30.
We have a super nice spirit on the teams and we are known for fighting righting to the last point when we play team match.
The most important thing for us is that we have fun training, and when we are all in top shape, the other Copenhagen teams must really be careful not to run into us on a badminton court.
We always welcome new players to the club, so if you are sitting out there with a badminton career in your backpack, which may have been quiet for a number of years, you should take a closer look at our training times, dust off your racket and come out and play with us. You are of course still welcome even if you have not played badminton before.
Pan Badminton's 1st team
Team leader: Martin Andreas Hansen.
The club's first team plays in series 2 in the Copenhagen tournament.
Our 1st team of course counts our best players in the club, who are both former youth elite players and adult starters, who over the years have trained themselves to be among the best in the club.
Pan Badminton's 2nd team
Team leader: Søren Olsen.
The club's second team plays in series 30 in the Copenhagen tournament.
Our 2nd team counts the best of our super cool recreational players who for the most part have started playing badminton in earnest as adults.
